This customer represents a major win for Alcatel-Lucent in the territory and besides being highly profitable acts as a most import reference to neighboring utilities to help drive new sales. * Achieved the "Most New Customers" award in 2009 at GE MDS. Grew the customer base and saw sales increase 21% over previous year. * Utilized consultative selling skills with Xcel Energy to develop a service solution to fit their needs and authored a statement of work with pricing. I then negotiated, sold and executed a multi-year service agreement that included Motorola Technicians being sold directly into Xcel Energy to maintain all wireless systems. Twenty years later, this Service Agreement is still in place and has strengthened Motorola's position to assure increased customer control which drives equipment sales and increased margins in this account.
