Description
SUMMARY: I've worked for the Federal Government for the last 35 years as an accountant. I begin my career March, 1978 with the Department of Treasury Writing Treasury Financial Manuals which interpretates Public Law, OMB Circulars and GAO Guidance for providing financial policy to all federal agencies. In July, 1985 I accepted a Systems Accountant position with the Department of Transportation's U.S. Coast Guard installing DOT's Automated Central Accounting System which incorporated the use of a Standard General Ledger for all the agencies under DOT ie FAA, Federal Rail Road, Federal Motor Carriers Administration, and the Federal Transit Administration. The Automated Central Accounting System's Standard General Ledger is up and still running consolidating the twelve accounting facilities of the U. S. Coast Guard into two accounting stations, the one in Chesapeake, VA and the one in Alameda, CA.
