Why Me* First, thank you for taking the time to read this. Second, I have a large amount of experience with in a wide variety of industries Third and final, I have owned my own business for 15+ year's right here in the Arizona market. I got started in 1984 at a foam roofing contractor's place as a helper. I learned the trade and moved on to be a spray applicator of foam and coatings 2 years later. After 3 years of doing applications, I moved into sales. I started at a roofing company that had 12 other salespeople and the first month I was "Salesperson of the Month" and went on to earn 3 more in the next 9 months. During most of the nineties I worked as an unlicensed roofing contractor subbing torchdown, APP and tile work for other roofing contractors. In 2001, I became a licensed roofing contractor. I started out door knocking custom home builder's doors. Actually, I would drive all the high end communities and see where a builder was breaking ground. I would contact them and ask them "What would it take to earn your business". Most custom home roofs cost between $25,000 and $200,000. I grew the company from $168,000 a my first year to over $11 million in 2011. In 2012, I became a general contractor and went after the restoration business. I threw all kinds of money at it, high salaries, top dollar equipment, new warehouse and I lost sight of my roofing company. The restoration business never got off the ground and I had to fold my roofing company in 2014. I am now working as a salesman for a local contractor. You might ask yourself, how the heck can a roofer help me. Well, I am not just a roofer. I am a business owner with a very keen eye for sales. I am observant of all things going on at places I visit and think about ways to make that industry more vibrant. I don't mind rolling up my sleeves and getting dirty. And I am accountable. I see myself capable of selling chemicals and gases, linens and apparel, electronics, medical, insurance, banking, etc It is just a question of learning your product and services. It is simple to locate the marketplace and to attack it voraciously. I am looking to become employed with a good-sized company doing outside sales. It is very easy for me to gain knowledge of your products, the marketplace and how to work the marketplace. I can keep records use Microsoft and Xactimate computer systems. I may not have the education you are asking for but I have the knowledge, the drive and passion to get up every morning and hit the streets to sell your product. I also know how to satisfy the client, answer all questions or know how to get answers, in-store product development, ordering, deliveries, inventory control and setting up seasonal products for ordering and deliveries. I know how to create relationships and move product. One thing I learned about selling, and there are many things I have sold for living, is that once you know a little about the product then you can fake it until you make. A salesperson is a salesperson. I have sold big quantities of beef, roofing, solar, home improvements, etc. I have sold residentially, commercial, industrial and retail A lot of it is hunger, drive and passion. I have many connections with suppliers, builders, designers and architects, restaurants, manufacturers. In closing I appreciate your time and consideration. Looking forward to talking to you. Regards
