I am a senior Logistics professional with extensive experience in operating expense reduction, operational improvement, employee relations, facility design and systems installation. I have a proven track record of installing and optimizing WMS, TMS and labor standards while improving employee relations. The organizations I have built and managed reflect my management style of continuous improvement, team work, accountability and relationship building with a customer first strategy.
For three years I have led the distribution function of Longs Drugs, a regional drug store chain, through a strategic redesign of the distribution department. As Vice President of Distribution and Logistics my management team successfully increased self distribution from 40% of front end sales to 80% in one year. Due to operat
ional improvements, service levels increased 10% in less than one year. The increase in service level and improved operations resulted in an inventory reduction of $30 million and a $16 million decrease in operating expenses. In addition, you will note from the enclosed resume that I have a BS degree in Logistics.
With over 25 years of experience I have developed the employee relations and operational skills necessary to build and lead a successful distribution enterprise. My work history has enabled me to successfully work in non-union and union environments partnering with union leadership and members. Given the fact I have worked for very large organizations comprised of small to large divisions, the solutions necessary to implement complex organizational change fluctuated in size and scope.
