Description
COVER LETTER: Starting from the belief that the success of the company is always the best chance to pursue my own personal success as a manager, I have always worked toward the long- term success of the company, trying to build a strong and driven internal team committed to protect and advance the interests of all stakeholders. All my professional experiences, as my studies, have been directed to build a professionality that would allow me to successfully manage a company (or a complete business unit), which is what I love to do. The deep knowledge of Accounting and the Budgeting and Controlling process had a very important part in my formation and in the attitude to always govern and "see" the business also through numbers and metrics. Later experiences had given me deep knowledge of the production processes, marketing, sales, customer service. Most importantly I had the opportunity to familiarize with and learn the human resource aspects of the business. I found that sharing the goals, being demanding but putting yourself as first in line if necessary with hands-on, being very direct, but open to a frank conversation or criticism, while of course intransigently pretending respect and discipline, is the best way to motivate people, extract the best from them and create a positive working environment. My career has brought me in the US (I'm Italian with a green card), where I've been living for the past 11 years, and where I intend to stay with my family. Here I have assimilated (and come to appreciate) the different business culture, and I have been always able to build strong and long lasting business relationship with my customers and colleagues. My focus in the last 10 years has been in the woodworking industry, where I have had the opportunity to work closely with large multibillion corporations, but I believe that my professionality can be also spent in different sectors, managing a business unit or developing a new business idea. I am looking forward for the next exciting challenge/opportunity and in this regard I truly appreciate any consideration you may give to my resume. Thanks, Michele Cassin
