Description
COVER LETTER: Dear Sir, I am incredibly interested in the job opening at your company. I am a recent chemical engineering graduate with a passion about learning, especially oil and refinery processes or any job related to my education. I spent a part of my childhood in Saudi Arabia where my family was relocated for work and I had the chance to visit a few of gas and oil refineries, increasing my curiosity about the process. I recently saw your company news which led me to research about the company and what it does, and I was impressed by the variety of expertise areas provided by this company and its successes. I believe such success can only stem from great ambition, something I have myself. I chose the engineering field out curiosity for learning how things worked, which started out with interest in cars and car assembly and manufacturing processes. Each summer for the past three years, I was given the opportunity to intern at the Spanish Embassy's Office for Economic & Commercial Affairs in Riyadh, as they were short on personnel. I played an active role within the group and helped complete tasks from multiple different positions, including live and document translation, research about market and market and trade policies. The analytics skills that I acquired through my internship and my coursework for my chemical engineering major helped me develop the technical skills, speed and emotional intelligence required for the current fast-paced work environment. Moreover, responsibilities held during my undergraduate and my internship taught me how to work as a member of the team and as a leader. I believe that these attributes combined with my enthusiasm to learn, my ability to cope with stressful environment make me a great candidate for the job in the natural gas pipeline. Thank you in advance for taking the time to look at my cover letter. Please let me know if you need more information from me. I would also be happy to schedule a call at your convenience or to meet in person if meeting in person would facilitate an explanation of options available to me. Sincerely, Ahmed Elfeki
