Qualifications: I was employed by the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office from November 6, 2006 to February 02,2016. I began my time there as a part-time Deputy Sheriff working 1 day per week as a uniformed deputy responsible for manning various security positions in the county buildings as assigned. Over the next year I increased my availability to work. On January 10, 2008 I was offered full-time status and promoted to Captain, 3rd in command in the Sheriff's Office. My responsibilities included the supervision of approx. 110 fulltime and part-time uniform and civilian personnel performing various functions in the Sheriff's Office. This included, Courthouse and Courtroom security, Prisoner escort and transport, Civil Process, Warrant service and security at other county buildings. I was also given the responsibility to ensure safety and security at the Lehigh County Courthouse for all employees and visitors during the $61 million renovation. This was completed by hiring additional personnel and scheduling and budgeting during this renovation. I was promoted to Chief Deputy due to my ability to complete everything that were asked of me. I worked in conjunction with the other Chief Deputy until the county retired him and downgraded his position in December 2013. I prepared and controlled the budget, both operating and salary, of The Sheriff's Office. I prepared schedules and ensured accurate yet sufficient coverage. I continued to supervise the personnel of The Sheriff's Office and was able to advance the office and increase the manpower as needed. As a result of the recent election of a new sheriff I was retired on 02/02/2016. Prior to The Sheriff's Office I worked 25 years for the Pa Sate Police, from 02/16/1981 to 02/16/2006. While employed for the State Police I worked Patrol, Crime, and in the Forensic Services Unit. I was a firearms instructor and a member of The State Police Tactical Mounted Unit for 16 years. My last assignment was the crime unit supervisor at the Fogelsville Station where I directly supervised 4 criminal investigators and was responsible for every criminal investigation conducted at the station by all personnel. I also was responsible for the scheduling of numerous personnel. I presently work part-time for Daniels BMW, Allentown, Pa. as a porter/lot attendant. I am Act 235 certified thru the State Police.
