HealthSouth Created Worked with advertising agencies, printing businesses and direct clients, providing a full range of creative services - presentation art, pre-press production (conventional and digital), computer-generated retouch, color correction, design/layout, illustration (conventional and digital), storyboards, art cards, and digital files for broadcast media, graphs, charts and maps for all media, comprehensive art for presentation, subcontracting of photographers and illustrators, conceptual for print and broadcast, Mac-based consulting and application training and full-service project management. directed and/or supervised production of all presentation print radio and television materials created for over 2,000 facilities in 50 states. Began with supervision of four designers promoted to supervision of staff of 13 then promoted to second-in-command of staff of 40+ designers writers and coordinators. In span of three years over 55,000 jobs were processed through the department. Some of our department's responsibilities and accomplishments were: * Reducing print production related costs by over 20% * Reduced internal errors and reprints from 40% to less than 1% * Created the corporation's first robust up-to-date web site Won seven Telly awards (five of which I conceptualized/art directed) * Designed and implemented a structured traffic proofing workflow structure and unified graphic standards * Successfully supported an internal merchandising program with print and video materials which grew the HealthSouth brand and merchandise sales to a multi-million dollar business * Produced two bi-annual magazines with circulations of over 100,000 Produced corporate Annual Reports quarterly reports audio-visual presentations and videos for presentation to internal management employees the public and investor groups * Conceptualized and produced the first consistent campaign-oriented "sports medicine" ads for print radio and television * Produced support materials for HealthSouth's "Sports Medicine Council " an interactive roadshow which reached over one million children with a message of staying in school proper nutrition staying away from drugs and fitness - using high-profile professional athletes children were challenged to set and obtain goals * Produced support materials for numerous corporate sponsorships * Produced support materials for charitable organizations which raised
