New vertical circulation was designed to accommodate handicap and fire egress compliance for a public assembly * This former manufacturing building was being converted into condos but plans to build additional stories by prior architect produced community backlash. In the midst of this controversy I inherited what was known as "The Hell Building" (www.brownstoner.com/. ./carroll-gardens-hell-building-unit. .) and superseded prior architect's plans removed the partial four story structure that was erected above existing building designed and developed two new stories within existing envelope of building by lowering the first story and was able to create a residential design consisting of 30 dwelling units s.f.) While working for Robert Scarano I was asked to design and develop his primary residence. I took his existing home and added an additional story front and rear extensions used Helical Pilings on a two story glass enclosed rear extension and created two roof decks off the new story with a seven person Jacuzzi on the side roof deck. Finally I underpinned existing building to create new ten foot high ceiling in basement and designed new custom side entry door s.f.) * Developed and designed a new 4-story eight-unit multiple dwelling which applied quality housing zoning in the design development. On a zoning lot of 20' x 90' I designed a building with 4 double height duplex units and several penthouse units all of which were provided with ample outdoor space s.f.) * Developed and designed a new mixed building incorporating commercial and community facility. I was charged with developing an innovative design while complying with multiple zone restrictions and requirements. I was solely responsible for architectural construction documents structural plans mechanical plans as well as lighting and energy design
