From November of 2006 until present I was called as the Pastoral Director of Sunrise House Adult Day Care whose participant population is age 18 and older and whose ministry extends to both participants and their caregivers. As Pastoral Director at Sunrise House, these are the first years that the Adult Day Care has operated without a deficit. Responsibilities of the Pastoral Director include:
Counsel with participants
Counsel with participant families financially and otherwise
Stay abreast of current laws and regulations
Total responsibility for a budget that exceeds $450,000.00
Negotiate contracts with the Veterans Administration, Medicaid, and the Area Agency On Aging
Be spokesperson for the ministry
Give regular updates to the church
Responsible for bidding process and acceptance of bids on services
Responsible for meeting inspection standards from contracted agencies, to state inspections, fire inspections, health inspections, etc.
Supervise a staff of 10 employees including hiring and dismissals
Maintain staff records and trainings
Responsible for billing and payroll
Responsible for supervision of facility maintenance
