To obtain a position as an Associate Manager/Assistant Manager for software development leveraging on the knowledge I have gained in the diverse manager\supervisor positions I have held in the past. I bring management experience from diverse types including military, security, and IT. I am in the final leg of a Master's of Business Administration with emphasis in IT that has help me grow and understand the intricate economic, marketing and personnel management required at the higher management levels. Managerial Skills At present, I am working on a Master of Business Administration with emphasis in Information Technology Management. I currently hold the position of Scrum Master and have held title of Lead Programmer in the past. I have held the position of Loss Prevention Manager where I managed a group of security officers and a supervisor. I have also attended other management training such as the Primary Leadership Development Course and Total Quality Management workshops while in the Army. I have served as first line supervisor within the military as well as a civilian in IT. As a civilian in IT, I have served as Scrum Master, Lead Developer, Loss Prevention Manager, and Supervisor for Security. I have also worked as a Project Manager for five different events three Police Recognition Dinners/Police Suicide Prevention Fund Raisers and two Fall Festivals for disadvantaged children. Programming Work History ECFMG Scrum Master/Senior Software Developer May 2006 - Present I hold the position of Scrum Master in the CSEC IT Division as well as Senior Software Developer for the past ten years. While serving in the CSEC IT group I have become intimately acquainted with the operations of the exam centers from the systems perspective. I have built specialized programs supporting the step 2 clinical skills exam and enhanced existing older technology programs mainly in VB6 and classic ASP. I have upgraded older technology programs to newer technology, such as .Net and ASP.Net, as well as worked creating new software from user requirements in diverse newer technologies. Most of the work in the last years has been performed using the agile methodologies, specifically the Scrum type, where I have served as Scrum Master. I have contributed extensively in developing the methods that the CSEC Applications Development team has in place utilizing training afforded to me by ECFMG. I have obtained a certification as Scrum Master as well as Scrum Developer.
