Description
Assures regulatory compliance of all applicable Federal, State and local, occupational health, workplace safety and environmental protection codes, regulation and best practices. Instructs, coaches and mentors junior employees and managers, provides daily status of preventatives, risks and incidents to senior managers and executives. Audits, measures and analyzes company, contractor and client safety management systems to ensure workplace safety. Tests, critiques and recommends suggested improvements to current safety systems. Performs duties as subject matter expert for special projects, industry council meetings, corporate gatherings and public affairs engagements. Acts as primary lead investigator for all HS&E incidents within the Rocky Mountain region. Performs additional support for clients in matters of public, social license to conduct business, as a presenter of HS&E accomplishments that positively impact the local communities. Serves as operational liaison between distant corporate headquarters and field based suppliers, vendors and partners. Maintains a large budget and accountability for expenses and high value inventory. Trains and mentors junior HS&E staff.
