SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS * Over 12 years' experience in several managerial roles in the emergency and environmental management industries including experience with HazMat response as a Buffalo fire fighter, as well as providing training and consulting services to private industry for OSHA compliance and also as a certified HazMat instructor/consultant, teaching emergency response agencies (law enforcement, fire departments, public health departments) throughout the country and internationally, as an adjunct instructor in association with a state university and Department of Homeland Security Experienced with all aspects of workforce development including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, delegating work orders, monitoring all work activities for quality, expediency, and safety, conducting performance evaluations, implementing disciplinary measures, and terminations * Experienced retaining quality employees through sound Team Building concepts, excellent communications, and respected leadership skills * Over 20 years' experience working with and analyzing a wide range of hazardous materials and training individuals and corporations for emergency response to HazMat incidents * Over 12 years' experience providing a wide range of preparedness planning, coordinating with resources in municipal, county, state, and federal government agencies * 10 years' experience coordinating and facilitating the collection and testing of gases, soils, and water samples and reporting the subsequent analyses of such samples to appropriate personnel/agencies * Experienced preparing lesson plans and training up to 100 students per class in emergency/disaster preparedness training courses and how to effectively respond under various conditions * Over 15 years' experience as an EMT - Basic, certified through New York State Department of Health * Strong communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills * Multi-tasks efficiently, learns new systems quickly, and completes all assignments/projects on time or ahead of critical deadlines * Experienced using computers, Windows, Mac, MS Office, proprietary EPA software (CAMEO), Internet research, and email * Works well independently or in a team environment ADVANCE \d8
