CAREER SUMMARY: My career spanning over 35 years to date has been a combination of experiential learning by education and job training and by application as an educator to train future engineers. The efforts pursued increasing levels of responsibility and skills in all aspects of civil/environmental and water resource engineering including high levels of project management, independent and team cooperation, leadership and application of theory and practice in these fields. As an educator, I created learning environments for students to expose them to likely scenarios they would experience upon entering the job market and ensure they were as ready as possible with both theory and practical applications. This has led to appointment to the State of Idaho Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and nearly 15 years work with the National Council for the Examination of Engineers and Surveyors (NCEES) developing and leading development of the national fundamentals of engineering and PE examinations. In this last decade of a career, I again wish to give back full-time to the industry as an employee of a company where I can draw from my experience and training and again apply this to real world projects.
