Work performed by the contractor included earth work excavation, roadway construction, partial depth and full depth concrete repair (in-place and pre-cast), HMA pavement repairs, repairing existing concrete roadway slabs with hot applied synthetic, diamond grinding existing concrete pavement, cleaning and sealing joints and cracks in concrete, spray applied waterproofing membrane on bridge decks, repairs of bridge decks, bridge deck and concrete joint construction and reseal, installation of retrofit strip seal joint systems, bridge deck repairs with quick-patch cement and HMA, concrete vertical curb, sidewalk, driveways aprons with reinforcement, ADA curb ramps, bicycle safe grates and underdrain. Work performed by the contractor included the relocation of utilities, demolition of existing bridges and construction of one precast arch beam bridge and one precast box beam bridge with post tensioning over Mantua Creek with stay in place sheet piles and cofferdams. Construction also included substructures with Steel H pile foundation PDA Monitoring with ground vibration monitoring equipment, environmentally friendly color concrete parapets, sidewalks, bridge railing, lighting and guide rails. Safety improvements included installation of temporary and permanent traffic signals, relocation of underground and aerial utilities, guide rail installation, hydrant and flood monitoring system, striping, completing drainage improvements and wetland mitigation, construction of a storm water management system and monitoring, asbestos removal and disposal, old gas tank and contaminated soil removal and disposal, environmental construction items and the complete reconstruction of Holly Avenue, Pitman-Downer Road and Chapel Heights Road. Responsibilities included the daily supervision of the NJDOT inspection staff and consultant engineering staff. Work performed by the contractor included the placement of 1" thin HMA overlay on existing highway from MP 8.0 to MP 14.0, safety improvements, guiderail installation, striping and monitoring environmental construction items. Responsibilities included the daily supervision of the NJDOT inspection staff. Work performed by the contractor included construction of pre-cast box beams bridge over the Maurice River, dewatering, cofferdam, placement of jetty stones for scour prevention, construction of retaining walls with steel sheeting and 12" dia. circular steel piles with cast-in-place concrete substructures foundations, closure of Maurice River Parkway in order to complete wetland restoration, extensive landscaping. Also included the reconstruction of a 72" diameter concrete culvert pipe for Maurice River flood water by-pass, safety improvements, installation of temporary and permanent traffic signals, railroad crossing improvements, installation of guide rail, striping, monitoring environmental construction items, processing NJDOT, NJDEP fresh water, pineland, wetland and dam safety permits. Relocation and reconstruction of aerial and underground utility. Responsibilities included the daily supervision of the NJDOT inspection staff. Work performed by the contractor included the demolition of dam and bridge and construction of dam and spillway, pre-cast box beams, bridge and substructure with cofferdam stay in place steel sheeting and H-piles with ground vibration monitoring equipment. Project also included placement of rip rap to prevent scour, installation of fish ladder and wood cladding on bridge abutments, retaining walls, and construction of colored stone retaining walls, exposed stone bridge sidewalk, parapets, railings and bridge lighting and lamp posts. This historical project also included preservation and restoration of old signs, sign posts, old tress, installation of old bridge deck piece for display and walkway. Project also included construction of environmentally friendly color concrete parapets, sidewalks, bridge railing and lighting, reconstruction of Route 70 with subgrade and paving with HMA, drainage, improvements, traffic signal installation, safety improvements, utility relocation, installation of powder coated guide rail, striping, monitoring of construction items, wetland mitigation and pineland preservation, relocation of 12" steel gas main.
