I am applying for your position as Engineering Manager My qualifications include a willingness to work smart and hard to help make your company successful; they also include two degrees from IIT and considerable experience as an Investment manager, Treasurer and Engineer. My degrees include a BSME, BSEE and Professional Registration with license renewal on request, management experience and "hands on" engineering experience. I have eight patents with many new products introduced to the markets I've served. I have several years of combined experience with increasing responsibility in engineering management for planning, leading, organizing and scheduling staff work activities. Other experience includes subcontract liaison, equipment selection and requisitioning, setting specifications and providing design standards and performance guidelines. I have experience in marketing and service liaison as a representative with customers of our products. In addition to education and experience my "hands on" is primarily with regard to mechanical engineering involving design, production and installation of automatic packaging machinery. I use computers on a regular basis with Microsoft Office for word processing, Excel spreadsheets and CAD software. I am familiar with JIT, PERT and GANTT charts for scheduling and I know how these tools can be used to enhance production and deliver products on time.
