December 2, 2015 Dear Sirs: After nearly 30 years of running a multi-division printing company, I am excited to embark on a new career path. Global changes in the printing industry have made it an industry with a very unstable future. Many years of executive level sales and management experience has provided me with a very diverse set of transferable job skills. With extensive experience in Sales, Operations Management and Production Management for most of my working career, I understand all of the challenges faced by businesses in training, planning, developing and implementing company wide projects. Over the years I have worked on many highly technical projects that have required the collaboration of employees, vendors and customers alike to achieve a successful outcome. I have the experience, the personality and the skills to bring people together to share ideas and to solve even very complex problems. I have extensive experience in employee, customer and vendor relations as well as strong financial analysis and management operations skills. I have always strongly supported continuous education for myself as well as my employees. Regularly my company would hold discussion groups with employees to train and educate them and to share ideas across different departments for making company wide improvements. My belief is that by educating and empowering your employees, you bring out the best in them and some great creative ideas as well. Along with that comes a great sense of pride in your job and highly satisfied employees. By utilizing this philosophy in my printing business we were able to develop and implement state of the art computerized printing and job tracking technologies that other companies 10 times our size were not currently using. This technology and change in work flow helped us reduce costs by 60% and increase efficiency by more than 50%. I believe that my entrepreneurial experience has provided me with a valuable set of skills that are not easily acquired in just any job. As a business owner, I have held just about every job title in the company, from the lowest to the highest. I have also experienced just about every obstacle that you can encounter in business. The most important thing this experience has taught me is to never lose sight of your goals and that the day to day problems you encounter are just great opportunities in disguise. Being the first to recognize and capitalize on that kind of opportunity is the hallmark of a great organization.
