I have recently graduated cum laude with a dual major in economics and computer information technology from St. Joseph's College in New York. My career interests include finance, international trade and business. The senior thesis I completed for the economics major (Examining How a Free-to-Play Business Model Can Lead to Economic Profit) illustrates the skills I am able to bring to bear on the analysis of innovative and unconventional business models. My computer information technology course work has familiarized me with a variety of software and languages, including java, C++, HTML, Oracle PL/SQL databases, and Microsoft Office. I have completed two fall internships at the United Nations investigating the negative economic impact on G77 countries that discriminate on the basis of gender identity, research that has made me adept at sifting through international statistics databases to locate the specific information that is relevant to the topic at hand. Working at the UN also has exposed me to a multitude of cultures and economic systems, providing valuable experience for future work in an international setting. I hope to find work that allows me to use the analytical skills I have developed as an economist, and my information technology skills in a business or finance setting with connections to the global marketplace. I am pursuing a company that would be an ideal fit for my talents and interests, providing me with experiences to sharpen my focus and the opportunity to forge long-lasting professional relationships.
