Eager to bring all students into the twenty-first century using a unique combination of educational experiences coupled with currently with two years of teaching in Baoding China as an English Teacher for the China University of Geosciences Great Wall College. One year teaching Intro. to Pharmacology and Medical Terms at National College in Louisville Kentucky. Plus one year teaching Keyboarding I, Study Skills, A&P and Medical Terms at Daymar College in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to my college professor experience I had one year of actual classroom teaching in SPED BD and LD students in a self contained classroom at Carroll County Middle School in Carrollton, Kentucky. I have at least and twenty years as a long and short term substituting in public schools in Frankfort and Erlanger,Kentucky including teaching for the public schools in Augusta Georgia, Preschool-12th grades. I have taught Adults how to read and write while working on my Masters at UC and also worked with Freshman college students on study skills to improve academic performance for the Pegasus and Teaching and Learning program at the University of the Cumberlands. Key Qualifications: Lesson planning on the college level, teaching English to ELS students in China, by using power Point Presentations with instructional language CD's,Unit study guides and Unit quizzes, Mid term test and a final exam to evaluate each students understanding, pronunciation, and English grammar rules and writing resumes and other types of correspondences such as emails, text messaging and personal letters. I am able to teach all students according to their Learning Styles with updated approaches to instruct in all subject area using wide variety of teaching aids, with the ability to engage all students in active learning with or with out disabilities. Incorporate learning modality principles into classroom and individual instruction on all grade levels which include University, College or Technical College application. I am very capable in developing and conducting inter-grade activities with differential activities to complete rubric for mastery of understanding. Implement technological approaches to subject material for all grade and learning levels. I continue to research educational resources on the Internet, and other publications to improve my knowledge base. Assist with information retrieval to encourage competition of projects for student learning. Implementation of BIP's and Behavior sheets with Positive Behavior management goals (when applicable to be compensated with a token economy)on all. Implementing and updating policies and producers for staff members or student staff under my instruction. I have the ability to created and refine newsletters, introduction letters, programs and brochures in my present teaching position and in the past for the University of the Cumberland, Masonic Home in Shelbyville, KY, Brides of Hope, Lake Cumberland State Resort Park and E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park, I have knowledge of planning and leading reactional activities, study sessions and group discussion of current topics and world events. I have also been in charge of supervising student staff members for the Kentucky Parks Department and Pegasus Program at the University of the Cumberlands.
