Description
I am a passionate learner and I greatly value knowledge, training and education. I have been a student worker most of my life, and successfully obtained three Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology, Microbiology, and Psychology. I have accumulated almost 6 years of ample interdisciplinary experience working in biology and psychology laboratories. During my early years, I entered into the pharmaceutical industry as a Microbiology Analyst, accumulating 4 years of experience working in the diverse clean and sterile areas of highly regulated facilities, following strict GLP and GMP procedures and in compliance with the FDA. Later, I reoriented my focus on research and accumulated nearly 2 years of additional experience as a Research Assistant in different laboratories. I started in the Stem Cell Biotechnology research lab, mastering cell culture techniques for the production of various stem cell lines for cellular therapy and regenerative medicine. Then, as I became more interested in Psychological Sciences, I focused on research laboratories such as Behavioral Neuroscience (conducting animal research), and Visual Cognition (performing human subject research using eye-trackers). As well, I have presented my work with posters and oral presentations in state and national conferences. Finally, in both pharma and research laboratories, I have successfully trained and supervised new analysts and RAs respectively, and led team members in their daily laboratory work. Today, I am interested in advancing my research career in Psychological Sciences.
