I am a PMP certified Project Manager with 14 years of experience in the management and coordination of multi-disciplinary, international design teams over a variety of project types i.e. buildings, mixed-used and infrastructure projects. I started my career as a civil/road design engineer in 1999 in Rah-Azma, Tehran, Iran. A year later, I joined Sazeh Consultants, the largest oil and gas consultant in Iran, as a pipeline design engineer. I grew in my team to become the senior designer over five years until I moved to Dubai, UAE in 2006 where I joined Atkins, one of the world’s leading design engineering and project management consultancies. In Atkins, I started as the assistant project manager in Dubai Metro project, then became the deputy project manager in 2008 managing infrastructure and building projects and took the next step in 2010 when I became a project manager. In my recent role, I was responsible for market research on new territories, developing new business opportunities and client relationships and delivering client proposals and project estimates. I was managing the commercial and financial aspects as well as contract administration, scheduling, risk management, resource management and quality control of a number of major projects and provided direction to a diverse and international project team of assistant project managers, project engineers and sub-consultants.
