I desire to return to the daily challenges and opportunities I have enjoyed as a Quality Professional. I have worked in the aerospace industry as a Quality Professional for over 30 years. I started as a government representative working for AFCMD/AFSC (Air Force Contract Management Division/Air Force Systems Command) at various AFPROs (Air Force Plant Representatives Office) and the SPO (System Program Office), then moved into Lockheed, ADP, in Burbank, CA and finally Northrop Grumman Corporation located in Palmdale, CA. My experiences include working with multi-functional/multi-disciplined teams to analyze issues within airframes and systems. Using techniques obtained through Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, I was able to guide teams through problem analysis and final resolution of issues. As a contract management specialist, I evaluated the requirements within numerous contracts and developed necessary modifications. Daily "walk throughs" of the factory floor constituted enlightened conversations with the technicians thus providing insight into problems interpreting requirements within specifications and planning documents. Through numerous meetings with Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers, the requirements and plans were changed to the satisfaction of the technicians. I trained/mentored auditors, Quality Engineers and Quality Analysts in their job skills and conducted 40-hour classes in Facilitation techniques to all disciplines. I convened frequent meetings with Customer Representatives, senior managers and executives and presented briefings on program health resulting from the statistical analysis of various metrics. I led teams in Lean Manufacturing and conducted "5-S" in various work stations throughout the facilities. My last assignment was as a Quality Engineering Consultant and lasted 23 months. The contract was terminated due to budget constraints.
