Description
I am experienced in building and managing customer relationships. My strengths are contract analysis, problem solving, process improvement, training, and technical underwriting expertise. I am looking for a position which will challenge me while allowing me to use my intelligence, creativity, and experience. I want to continue my insurance education beyond the CRM program and continue to develop my technical expertise in underwriting, analysis, and project management. I was laid off in February due to a reduction in staff after more than 15 years of service. The company decided to discontinue several teams in order to cut costs; I held many positions at the company. I helped my team leader with some of the leadership roles for our team. I was named on our team website as the contact for all issues concerning certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements for policyholders and agents. I helped steer the team through a difficult period when the certificate module of our website, which was used daily by our policyholders was disabled for enhanced programming. Most of the inflatables book of business was direct, which means the company acted as agent. I would review contracts our policyholders were asked to sign and then I would then explain any coverage issues or exclusions and process the certificates and endorsements. I trained other members of the team on contract analysis and certificate preparation; answered their questions, and corrected their mistakes when I could. It was a high-volume, high-stress environment, and I discovered that I have a talent for training, analysis, problem solving, and process improvement. I am looking for the right opportunity to expand my skills, to use my intelligence, talent, and experience. I intend to complete my CRM designation by the end of next year, and I may also continue my studies in computer science applications. I would be an asset to any organization. Thank you for your consideration.
