OPMC is currently investigating your medical conduct. Public Health Law Section 230 (10) (a) (iii) provides that in all matters referred to an investigation committee of the Board for Professional Medical Conduct, the licensee shall have an opportunity to be interviewed by OPMC in order to provide an explanation of the issues under investigation and to submit written comments or expert opinions to OPMC. You may have legal counsel present during this interview. You may also have a stenographer present to transcribe the interview (at your own expense). You must provide a copy of the transcribed inter\/iew to this office within 30 days of the conclusion of the interview. The matters under investigation are your September 17, 2013 Public Letter of Reprimand issued against your medical license by the Medical Board of California, your April 5, 2011 Misdemeanor Conviction of Reckless Driving in the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego and your negative response to the question "Since your last registration, have you been found guilty aftertrial, or pleaded guilty, no contest, or nolo contendere to a crime (felony or misdemeanor) in any court, " on your New York State Education Department registration renewal application dated 7/25/2012 for the registration period 11/1/2012 through 10/31/2014.
