Description
My name is John G. Williams. I am a competent, engaging, and passionate instructor. I often apply authentic design, strategic plans, and differentiated instructional strategies to capture and sustain the attention of my students in the process of promoting learning in my classroom. I have been a teacher for more than 20 years and 17 of those years have been with the Rochester City School District. My years of service with the district include one year as a Home and Hospital Teacher, 10 years as a classroom instructor, one year as a building sub, five years as an instructor with the Office of Adult and Career Education Services teaching HSE and ESOL classes, and one year as a per diem substitute teacher also teaching HSE and ESOL during the last school year (2014-2015). I am currently working on a doctorate with a specialty in Teaching and Learning at Walden University. I am married and I have a son who graduated from high school this last academic school year-2015. My dream is to lead a class from a pre-literacy level to a high level of fluency, train individuals in differentiated learning strategies that will enable practitioners to become proficient in strategic design and differentiated learning, and coordinate training and learning in instructional design and framework.
