I’m Master's degree candidate (Dec 2015) with major in chemical engineering from Lamar University and B.S from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In university, I worked as research assistant and did research on lipids extraction from shrimp for next generation fuel. I have sound knowledge in software such as Aspen Plus, Polymath, Matlab, Visual Basic, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I have almost 2 years of experience in US army in water treatment with duties ranging from Performing testing on water (impurities, nuclear, biological, chemical agents) using chemical lab applications. Additionally I’ve total 2 years of experience in two separate research projects, ‘Advanced Process Control’ and ‘Synthesis of Lipids from dried Shrimp’. I've also worked in a J.K chemical firm in Kathmandu, Nepal as Entry level chemical engineer position from June, 2013 to January 2014. As engineer my major role and responsibility was to survey, design and cost estimation of new reactor in the plant to provide recommendation from investigation for the suitable foundation design, which I have outlined in my resume. Other responsibilities include assisting Senior Engineer in production and filling safety catalog, writing environmental report, and carrying out detail engineering calculation and analysis. These accomplishments in relevant field have encouraged me to apply for the position such that I can use the skills that I achieved over this period.
