Description
I am a mechanical engineer by training and a recent graduate from Northwestern University. I work in the field of design and manufacturing and am particularly interested in the development of novel manufacturing technologies, machine and product design. My masters thesis work at NU in the Advanced Manufacturing Processes Laboratory focused on the development of a unique hybrid micro-manufacturing process- electro-assisted curved water jet guided laser micro manufacturing. In particular, I conceived the idea of using dielectrophoretic phenomenon to micro-manipulate the trajectory of micro-water jets thereby enhancing the capability of the hybrid process. This fundamental template of precise control of the deflection of micro-water jets finds application in evolving all forms of water jet based manufacturing processes. Through my graduate work, teaching experience and various internships, I have gained experience in the fields of CAD/CAM, CNC Machining, Injection Molding, Rapid Prototyping, 3D printing, Numerical Modeling of Manufacturing Processes, Fluid Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, FEA, Robotics and Manufacturing Automation. I have proven project experience in COMSOL Multiphysics, NX Unigraphics, CATIA, Solidworks, MATLAB, Labview, Rapidfrom and ABAQUS. I am keenly looking for suitable opportunities in the field of mechanical design and manufacturing.
