CollapseDescription

During my Master’s courses, I really got into the problems surrounding graphics and embedded software. I did work around 3D cube rendering in an FPGA board and took courses GPU and OS architecture design. I enjoyed learning and tackling problems between the software and hardware layers very much. I’m currently tackling problems in GPU designs where I’m learning different multi threading and concurrency behaviors. Currently, I am pursuing a part time master’s degree in computer engineering at Boston University alongside my full time position as a software engineer in an agile environment at Accenture. I continued to broaden my educational background in order to stay closer to coding and to explore a broader spectrum of engineering fields. My past coursework revolved around topics spanning the software stack. As listed in my resume, my projects were mainly but not limited to working with Verilog, C++, Android, and embedded systems. My current role at Accenture can be described as a software engineer lead mixed with various business analyst responsibilities in the Business Process Management (BPM) space. Working in a small office allows me to wear multiple hats in my roles. On top of being held accountable for delivering my own code, I am also responsible for tracking development and conducting code reviews for a small group of engineers. My current software alignment is with Pegasystems, a Java based enterprise solutions software. It is not uncommon for engineers to be staffed on multiple clients at the same time. As a group lead, I work with a team of engineers in order to help balance engineering hours across ongoing projects. On the business side, my responsibility often includes working with client teams to identify requirement gaps and to conduct functional demos for select pieces of the application delivery. Our project requirements and deliverables are implemented using Agile development methodology. Developing my skills around both software delivery deadlines and client facing needs has been invaluable towards my growth as an engineer. Outside my work and studies, I enjoy being a practitioner of Kendo, a form of Japanese fencing. I am an active member and co-founder of the Boston University Kendo club. Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions. I look forward to speaking with you more about the position and starting a new career path.
