Driven and passionate Health care professional seeking a Director of Nursing position. My current business skills and experience are a perfect match for this role, and I will be an excellent addition to any organization. In my recent capacity as a Patient Care Manager for Children's Hospital of WI, I was able to significantly expand my managerial skill-set. My responsibilities for efficiently running a 24 bed inpatient unit supported my ability to recruit and retain the best staff and boasted high retention and low turnover rates consistently. Through implementation of budget initiatives I created, we achieved financials that exceeded budget in 2014. Additionally, I was responsible for managing patient stays ranging from 3-300 days; some include rehab care needs, as well as caring for patients for a continuum of years. In my experience at Columbia Hospital, I cared for elderly patient and families; and very much enjoyed working with this population. My safety initiatives included falls, pressure ulcer and UTI prevention; we reducing the number of falls on the unit from 8 in 2013, to 1 in 2014.
