Major duties included establishing a Certificate of Need (CON), developing and implementing policies and procedures that help maintain compliance with government Standards and health care laws and regulations for the establishment of a Free Standing Medicaid Mental Health Clinic provided oversight to ensure consumers received appropriate diagnoses and treatment from clinical staff worked with over forty (40) health care maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations and managed care companies as well as other major health insurance companies to provide behavioral health treatment services including diagnostic assessment, individual, family, group, psychiatric care, medication management, crisis intervention, clinical supervision, and community support services provided referrals To DC community social services agencies as needed for consumers provided training to clinical staff of the Agency to support and help them adhere to policies and procedures in the daily performance of their jobs responsible for hiring, discipline, and managing 40 (forty) health care professionals including two psychiatrists, two psychologists licensed social workers, professional counselors, certified addictions counselors to work with consumers responsible for monitoring, allocating, and administering Medicaid funds provided by Health Care Finance Administration (HCFA) as well as other government agencies contracts and grants. and implemented all substance abuse outpatient treatment services on a daily bases resource specialist for other staff perform chart audits and file reviews on a monthly bases initiating corrective action plans as needed provided a ten (10) weeks didactic Manage Care Substance Abuse Program which included a Relapse Prevention Curriculum as well as a one year follow-up after care program utilized a variety of substance abuse assessment tools (GAINS CAGE etc.) under my coordination the success rate of members was at 90% most members completed the program and went on to participate in outside AA/NA meetings and/or individual and group psychotherapy sessions some went on to participate in other relapse prevention programs. .
