CollapseDescription

I have been providing quality patient-centered care with a strong critical care background . I am currently a team member in the Miami Veterans Hospital’s Intervention Radiology Department. Our department has been approve by the FDA to Spearhead clinical trial on “Prostate Artery Embolization with Embosphere Microspheres Compared to TURP for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia”. In 2014 I completed my master’s degree in nursing at Phoenix University focusing in education. I utilized research to develop a didactic and clinical educational curriculum training program. This course was successfully implemented for cross- training of SICU nurses to the radiology department. I deliver a wide variety of patient care in accordance with policies, procedures, and professional standards. I collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve quality, productivity and efficiency, with continuous observation and assessment of patients using physical examination and physiologic monitoring. As an interventional nurse I manage a range of functions within the radiology department, providing patient care for a variety of complex invasive procedures. This includes conscious sedation administered to patients carefully monitored to assure safe care. My managerial experience range from assistance nurse manager of a level 2 emergency room to acting as the nurse coordinator in the IR department. I have coordinated and implemented an Intervention Radiology skill check list used in the IR department, training RN's to function independently in the CAT scan, and MRI departments.
