Description
Anastasios Gliatis 31-26 28th. Ave. Astoria, NY 11102 347.935.8343 Anastasiodesigns@gmail.com Dear Human Resources Director, After graduating from the New York Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, I gained experience at Kambanis Architects working on multi-dwelling and hospitality projects. My primary role was to prepare construction documents, coordinate site conditions, and develop schematic designs with the architect. In 2010, I was hired as the lead designer to convert a burned out building into the Peter Phillips Brokerage Insurance. The process of building an industrial modern gave me the opportunity to develop and demonstrate my talent as a designer. I was responsible for all aspects of the project, from filing construction documents to mundane problem solving, assuring a successful execution of the project at every level. My experience was further enhanced while working in the interior design department of MGS studio, a firm that specializes in designing cafes, restaurants and private residences. My role was to prepare and present design options for the client, produce drawings, coordinate construction and permits in the field, while selecting and purchasing furniture, lighting and other materials within the constraints of the clients’ budgets. In 2012, I used my experience in design and project management to become an independent contractor. Developing my own firm gave me the opportunity to develop my identity as a designer, where I found passion and finesse for interiors that are modern and elegant, and take advantage of sophisticated materials. Since 2013 I have been a co-owner and designer for The Greek Tribeca, a fine dining restaurant that has achieved remarkable success. I am now seeking employment that would allow me to return full-time to my career in design and architecture. Through these experiences I have established a strong foundation for leadership that seeks to be exposed to a wider range of projects and design challenges. I believe my design experience and aesthetic interests would make me a valuable part of your team. Sincerely, Anastasios Gliatis
