Description
My objective is to return to nursing after a two experiment in cooking and catering which I did prior to becoming a nurse. In spite of my absence from nursing I feel I am still very much in tune with the requirements of being an excellent nurse.Empathy, compassion and excellent assessment skills along with good clinical judgement are qualities that are not taught or easily forgotten.I am a team player and have good service recovery skills.I understand that all persons connected to the patient are considered customers and need to be treated as I would want my parents to be treated. Although I enjoyed catering, my true "calling" as a friend observed, is nursing. It always has been and will be my life's destiny is to help people and make a difference in their lives. I know that my experience as a nurse and nurse manager would make me an excellent choice to perform Utilization Review, quality review, patient education, telephonic case management, customer service and patient navigation. I have seen countless examples where patients received incorrect discharge instructions and poor follow-up care after an in-patient stay This often results in re-hospitalization which is unacceptable in today's health care world and lends itself to poor patient outcomes.
