Summary * Experience 20+ years as Product Mechanical design and tooling designer. * Mechanical engineer with 16+ years' experience in mobile and tablet. And also expertise in concept designing as an architecture. -. Can do detail 3D design with top-down method and Creo 3 (Pro/E)/PDM Link. -. Develop various products (candy bar, folder, rotary, slide, full touch, B/Tooth, Tablet PC, All-in-one) -. Expert on product design in consideration of manufacturing and DFX and Cost Down. -. Closely work with vendors of battery and display and touch panel and connectors and tooling shop. * Tooling experience 4+ years (@LG) 1. Tool Designer: injection Mold tooling. 2. PM: Tooling Shop. 3. ETC : Tooling design review/Trouble shooting (@Nokia/MS) * Team management experience: 3+ years. * Program management for Mechanical: 7+ years. * Excellent cross-functional communication and working between program teams and suppliers/vendors. * Experience on ODM business and development. . 1. Worked with ODM suppliers in Taiwan/China (ex, Foxconn, Pegatron, Compal, CCI) 2. Worked with suppliers' factories in China/Korea (tooling shop, painting shop, assembly factories, display companies-LGD, SDC.) * Strong understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes. (Ex, Injection, Painting, stamping-sheet metal, die-casting, IMD, IML, NCVM, CNC. .) * Knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing processes and capabilities, tolerance analysis, risk management. * Knowledge of Touch Panel, display.
