Description
I've worn many hats and accomplished many goals. I now want to settle down and just write for a living. What follows is a brief review of my skill set: I can write speeches. (I was a state champion orator.) I can write scripts. (I wrote, produced, and co-hosted a television show that aired on three local channels.) I can write soft news and features. (While a graduate student I published in the local paper and a college magazine. An experienced reporter employed by the paper mentioned that my story on a geology professor was better than his.) I can write hard news. (I have a master's in mass communication/journalism.) I can write marketing and public relations content. (My most recent marketing project is a series of blogs and fundraising spots for a local Progressive radio station.) I can write theater. (As an award-winning stage actor with a degree in psychology and experience with acute mental patients, I was commissioned by a marketing executive of a local psychiatric hospital to write a play demystifying teen intervention.) I can do academic writing. (The assistant dean of the Louisiana State University Manship School of Mass Communication, upon reading the near final draft of my thesis, wrote, "I couldn't put it down - very interesting." I've talented, experienced, and hungry...and available right now.
