Candidate is a rare breed of academic leader, counselor, and lead teacher, with a remarkably multi-faceted personality and skill-set, ideally suited to an urban campus. As the youngest son of nine children from a working class family, he is without pretense. He rolls up his sleeves and does whatever needs doing. He is the alchemist, the servant-leader, a man of the people. Who better to motivate staff, connect to students and staff, build strong relationships, and vastly improve student knowledge base regarding college options, scholarship, and application and admissions strategies? What candidate will bolter college acceptance rate and add to your strong sense of community, often in dire need on urban, commuter-based campuses? One that is visionary but highly pragmatic, intellectual but grounded, confident but sincerely open to input from all stakeholders. That candidate is me, Dan Behan.
