I have a BS in Marine Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic which is one of the best technology universities in Iran. The degree has been approved by USFC as the equivalent to a BS in Marine Engineering from the US. I’ve a few work experiences in this country but have extensive industrial and shipping background in Iran.
While in school I completed my final project for the design of the Offshore Supply Vessel structure and its machinery foundations. I then passed my training course in the Persian Gulf Shipyard Co. in Bandar Abbas for 6 months. I’ve also been in the Iranian Navy Factory Design Department for manufacturing and design and remodeling of merchant and navy ships in part of their hull structures, machinery’s equipment, the foundations and the pipelines.
I joined the merchant navy fleet as ship engineer from 1997-2005 and worked around the world for multi-national companies for 8 years. I completed my 2nd Class Marine Engineer Officer Course (STCW95) and related courses in Glasgow College of Nautical Studies in U.K.
In addition, as a hands-on engineer I'm familiar with Naval Architecture, Steel Structures, Power plant and Marine Diesel Engines, Water Waste Plants, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Power and Control System, Boilers, Turbines, Compressors, Pumps, Centrifuges etc. and Deck Cargo Machineries and Handling system also I have some few experiences in design according on society classification rules.
