As the Process Mechanical Equipment Buyer, I teamed with in-house and client engineering personnel to solicit bidders for prices and make award recommendations. Through my initiative, I coordinated the conduct of the technical and commercial evaluations in such a timely manner that orders were placed with sufficient time for delivery to support the aggressive construction schedule. In the same role, I was responsible for negotiating all terms and conditions with suppliers. Many suppliers were reluctant to accept our terms and conditions at face value. Through my efforts, we were able to convince almost all of the recommended suppliers to accept negotiated terms and conditions to allow the orders to be placed.
