Description
I am currently a High School Teacher. I left industry in 2007 to pursue teaching in a way give back to society and spend more time with my family. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with our next generation of Americans. Now that I have accomplished my goals as a teacher, the time is right for me to take on new challenges and work toward new goals. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a calibration manager and quality auditor for WMBarr during the implementation of ISO9001. Shortly thereafter I began working for Candle Lamp as a Quality Supervisor over quality control and quality assurance at the Memphis Plant. I worked closely with management and production personnel to institute new processes and quality systems that lowered defects and cost while increasing efficiency. These systems are still in use today and Candle Lamp bought the creator of this market, Sterno. The company Candle Lamp is now known as Sterno Candle Lamp. I am a tenacious problem solver that creatively and imaginatively uses technology to enhance productivity and profitability. I have lead quality and quality teams that focused on reducing waste, reducing complexity and reducing variation thereby creating higher profit with less. I prefer to focus on planning, execution, and completion of long term goals and as well as short term objectives. I would like to find an opportunity to fully use my skills working with process and people to produce long term success. My personal belief about being successful stems from the fact that employees are the greatest asset and the greatest liability of any business. I prefer to create my success by creating successful careers for others. I hope to have an occasion to speak with you further on the plans for your company and how your intent to hire me or someone like me will assist you in achieving the goals.
