Description
Twenty plus years of research in geology has facilitated a technique of combining digital data in a GIS related platform, diversifying a well-balanced interpretation of geologic phenomena. The process of a geologic interpretation include multiple overlain datasets in spatial 2D, 3D and 3D blocks, allowing a comprehensive characterization of sedimentary and structural components intrinsic to emplaced economic resources. Teaching geology and GIS as a tool in acquisition, processing and mapping of digital field data gained during exploration projects, intensifies and refines the analysis process across multiple basins. Emphasis is given to compilations of georeferenced layers, allowing a demonstration of selective intensive interpretation and analysis of selected basin regions. Continual updates from source networks, institutional sites, propriety information sites and field data demonstrates the refinement of processed geologic models for improved accuracy. Further emphasis is given to maximizing the exploration program with multiple supporting data types including but not limited to: project reviews, PVA leasing, well-site/pipeline data, cross-sections, production history, well-log, core, porosity data, Vitrinite reflectance and reservoir estimations. Research with model datasets has included multiple elements of geophysical, geochemical, radiometric and remote sensing imaging. Much of the spatially mapped datasets often exhibit reciprocity in terms of structural deformation, lineament/faulting and reservoir entrapment/seepage, in multiple basins around the country. A well designed analog that is continuously updated using advanced data types, can be applied to other basins as a guide that enhances the delineation of undiscovered and/or unconventional deeper formations around the world. Having an optimal geologic background with an intuitive sense of structure and detail is a formula I intend to apply prudently, working as a team member in the next appointment.
