RssData Scientist- Entry Level- Intern at Retail Solutions Inc

Cover Letter Analytics, where I landed after all sorts of initiatives and commotions, and have now become a means to end. It all started with an engineering entrance examination known as JEE in India. After 2 years of hard work and planning, I cleared the exam and joined Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT, India) as a B.Tech candidate in Production and Industrial Engineering. The later part ignited a never ending quench for the use of Mathematics in the real World. It paved the way for Operations Research and Statistics. Bachelors provided me chances to visit different countries. Villanova University and Wärtsilä Finland Oy were two organizations where I gained great exposure to new world’s technology and working environment. The former one is in the USA and later one in Finland. Finally, Industrial Engineering played its role and I decided to join as an Operations Research Master’s candidate at Georgia Tech. In my first semester, I pursued a course on Regression Analysis which is one of my favorite courses till now. Although, it was a difficult choice for me to change my major to Computational Science but I changed it and faced a lot of challenges and difficulties that I enjoyed. Soon, I learned writing efficient scripts in R, SQL and Python. Working on big data, I learned how to apply the standard techniques on such data. Now, I was able to implement the mathematics learned so far. It was really important for me because it makes knowledge more interesting. I started applying my thoughts combined with learned concepts and it gives me real satisfaction which I believe is most important for me. Learning new things, technology and deploying has become a daily routine. I enjoyed the new spirit by applying it in my internship at Retail Solutions Inc. where I worked on Out-of-Stock Alert generation algorithm. Machine Learning algorithm and Statistics are quite helpful in realizing final results. When I joined the internship, ML algorithms were very interesting to me but now, the most important thing to play with variables, creating and modifying them and putting my imaginations and thoughts into practice. These days my focus is learning techniques used in distributed computing so that I can work on more challenging machine learning algorithms. I want to pursue this passion further and for that I need a full time job in your esteemed organization. Your Truly Sachin Gupta
