Description
With over ten years of Cost Accounting experience, I have worked in both product costing and process costing. In these roles I was responsible for all inventories, from raw material to finish goods as well as providing the month end cost of goods sold number and gross margin. While working on a scrap reduction project, I was singled out and recognized for my outstanding excel skills. This project resulted in a twenty five percent reduction in WIP and raw materials inventory. Due to my successful track record for getting results I was assigned to an accounting team with the task of reducing month end close from five days down to two. This goal was accomplished within two months which is a sixty percent reduction for month end close.
