Accomplishments: I interacted effectively with all students, encouraged them to take responsibility for their behaviors, and that school is where they can acquire knowledge, learn skills and develop values that will make them grow to their fullest potential as human beings. Within the last 9 months, suspensions and detentions for disruptive behavior in the classroom had decreased by 90% Many students had made drastic improvements in their behavior and realized the choice is theirs in order to accomplish their goals. Skills Used: I strengthen students skills in math and language arts by working in small groups or one on one in the classroom, used alternative course delivery strategies to enhance student learning outcomes, used assessments for continuing improvement. I maximized the tutorial sessions by reinforcing in development of new skills, utililzled appropriate resources when necessary, sensed any problems in tutorial functioning and assists in its resolution. I participated in substitute teaching for the absent teachers, tutored 6th grade enrichment students in reading and I was a test administrator for state-wide PSSA testing. Administration: Administrative duties consisted of daily monitoring of students arrivals and dismissals throughout the hallways, signed in students who were late arrivals for accountability to receive breakfast and lunch and monitored outside recesses throughout the day. I also proctored students for monthly school-wide Pennsylvania 4 Sight Benchmark testing and markups, collected all answer sheets from teachers and scanned and uploaded all students data to the testing Member Center. Teacher/ 7th and 8th grade Social Studies companies I worked as a admissions representative for 4 years following the director of both schools and I am confident I can make a valuable contribution to the school.
