I'm an editor and proofreader with 10+ years of experience. I've worked mainly in the arts--in museums, higher education, and magazines and journals. Along the way I've gained experience in all aspects of communications, from PR and marketing to social media. I oversee freelance writers, photographers, and graphic designers. For the last seven years I have been the managing editor at California College of the Arts, an art and design school. Before that I worked in publications at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. I freelance a lot, for a wide range of art institutions and publications. I am looking for a job in the greater L.A. area that primarily involves editing, ideally in an art or design context. I'd love to work for a museum, a publishing house, or a magazine or journal, although I'm also open to new ways to apply my skills.
