Since October 2002, I have been serving as Project manager and general Practitioner / clinician in an international NGO (Non Governmental Organization) found in the district of the country; there I have got an opportunity to enhance my clinical skill, coordinate and support the kebele, woreda and zonal health programmes especially on Maternal and Child Health Programmes including EPI (Extended Programme of Immunization) , TB & Leprosy Control Programmes ,HIV- AIDS Prevention and control programmes including provision of basic as well as advanced HIV training for the community and health workers and involved in the Training and Supporting of Health Extension Workers for five years. For the next four years I have acted as a CEO of a TB specialized referral hospital under the Federal Ministry of Health for more than three; there I have got the chance to involve in the national TB Control programmes and initiatives including the national MDR-TB programmes and others. I have succeeded in initiating the first MDR-TB treatment along with a special TB investigation labratoty service for the country in St.Peter’s hospital and started a national mass media based promotion programme on TB and MDR-TB prevention and control. Finally from May 2011 – October 2013 I worked in the FMOH-Medical Service Directorate as a Senior Officer to support health facilities in different regions (like Addis Ababa City Administration and South Region (SNNPG) together with the Regional Health Bureaus (RHB) and I have taken the responsibility of Project Coordinator for the EHAQ (ETHIOPIAN HOSPITAL ALLIANCE FOR QUALITY) which is the first of its kind in the country.
