Description
I was a Regional Sales and Service Manager for Pediatric Durable Medical Equipment for Eastern NC. I evaluated then designed and sometimes built and delivered and fitted DME products for handicapped children. I work side by side with Pediatric Orthopedic Specialist form both Duke and UNC. I was part of the Medical team that served clinics through out Eastern NC. I spent 18 years covering clinics and school systems in Eastern NC. I averaged 2500 to 3500 miles a week covering my area. I gave my heart and soul to helping the families that I provided DME for. I was the top producer for the company for 8 to 10 years. I enjoyed knowing that every child I worked with was better off after I finished working for them , than they were before I worked with them. I was on call just about 24/7 and that played a huge part in me having to have 2 major back surgeries. Which is why I had to give up the driving and the bending and lifting and why I was put out on medical disability in 2005. Since then I've been looking for something that I can do to get back in the working environment.
