R&D/Lab Technician - 1 year Experience - Springfield, MA - Hartford, CT

I am interested in a career as a Lab Technician, Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales Rep, or Research and Development and believe that I possess the skills and meet the requirements necessary to be a worthy candidate. With my involvement in the pharmaceutical industry and my background, I am searching for a full time opportunity in the related field. Until recently, I was working for Sunovion Pharmaceuticals as an R&D Lab Technician in San Diego, CA on a temporary contract. My duties were to analyze and perform specific experiments with an aerosol inhalation device, through patient simulated use, in order to collect data for FDA analysis. The research included recording nebulizer performance, measuring delivered and residual volume of aerosol output, physical integrity, size distribution, vibrational characteristics, and torque measurements. Also, to record and organize data in detail using Excel, interpret results, and present data with professional observation and tabulation. Recently relocated from San Diego, I aspire to continue working in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry in MA/CT. As a recent graduate from Western New England University, I achieved a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Forensics. During the course of my studies over four years I have had much lab experience in such fields as Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, and Cell Biology. Through the numerous hours in lab each week I have learned and utilized methods such as ELISA, Immunoassay, PCR, Western Blot, Gel Electrophoresis, Chromatography, Cell Culturing and Propagation, Centrifugation, Flow Cytometry, Titrations, DNA/Protein Isolation, and maintaining GCLP to name a few. I am passionately looking for an opportunity to be a dedicated member of a company and showcase my work ethic. I have always been a quick learner and a hard worker, requiring little guidance or supervision, and willing to put in long hours.
