RssField Technician

I’ve been a professional in the AV and Unified Communications industry since 2005. I’ve established reputable professionalism and personable character in the field in addition to managing duties pertinent to AV systems within the United States Capitol Police. One of my main focuses is ensuring that the client is comfortable using their AV equipment and I strictly adhere to current ICIA industry standards when trouble shooting, designing solutions or conducting system repairs. I confidently support all of USCP’s sites and their respective AV systems. In addition, I’ve successfully managed USCP’s Unified Communications/AV systems during the United Sates’ State of the Union Addresses for 5 years in a row; and have also been USCP’s main AV Technician for Congress’s Presidential Speeches and Inaugurations along with various other special events at the Nation’s Capital. I’ve also successfully supported USCP’s special operations such as facilities modifications during power infrastructure/breaker refreshes; these are extensive and rigorous tasks performed every 10 years, consisting on an entire building power shut down and I’ve ensured that system were safely managed without collateral damage. I also have experience in supporting USCP’s Inter-Agency Communications efforts; I also worked closely with Congress’s House of Representatives and Senate Communications teams, ensuring that there are no Unified Communications gaps between entities and other related critical communications systems with collaborative law enforcement entities such as Secret Service and Metropolitan Police to name a few. My ability to quickly diagnose and repair systems, whether it be a simple video interface or a more difficult Crestron control interface problem requiring programming on the fly or a video matrix switch problem corresponding to a network issue, I’ve proven to be dependable in supporting USCP’s staff under pressure and have helped ensure USCP’s mission to be accomplished; especially in critical times. I currently serve as USCP’s on-site Unified Communications and AV Systems Senior Technician and always strive to exceed industry standards. My career goal is finding a position consistent to my previous professional background while keeping an open mind about remaining flexible via considering an occupation outside the AV space; I have a strong interest in moving toward acquiring a more IT network administrative based environment, such as a Cisco Certified Network Professional and currently intend to complete my CCNA and CCNP certifications.
