I am an IT professional seeking to apply my current skills to the Healthcare Industry. With the need to balance regulatory changes and drive operational efficiencies to reduce costs, the healthcare industry affords many challenges and opportunities. The industry increasingly tracks significant information through clinical studies, diagnostic tests and physician assessments. The ability to record and deliver this information timely and securely with proper privacy protections in line with HIPAA and ACA is just one of the current areas of growth. My background is in managing sensitive information and complying with regulatory policies. I direct an applications support group and our business intelligence program that complies with federal and state regulations (NERC, FERC, Federal Accounting Standards, and Sarbanes Oxley). My responsibilities include developing and managing budgets, providing vision, aligning IT resources to achieve corporate goals, managing departmental mobility plans, developing business relationships and communicating status to senior executives and stakeholders. I have assumed roles of progressing responsibility through my career and am comfortable and effective communicating with technicians through to senior executives. I believe that a combination of secure technology with unified and targeted communication methods will enable healthcare providers and patients with access to information they will need to meet the increasing demands of the future.
