Highlights:

-Established fully functional laboratory with staff of five within three months of hiring. Ordered laboratory equipment, supplies, and identified required trainings and certifications necessary for a fully operational laboratory. -Prepared research review article on current drug therapies for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma concurrently with establishing the new laboratory. Article was completed within two months and accepted for publication. -Hired to perform Lymphoma and immunology research without formal training. Developed laboratory contacts to learn immunology research laboratory techniques and established a reliable network of support. Effectively learned immunology research and provided new personnel training for techniques and procedures. -Exceeded research publication requirements publishing nine peer reviewed research manuscripts, three peer reviewed review articles, and two book chapters within five years. -Established a fully functional satellite laboratory in under a month saving $20,000 in cost by utilizing unused equipment from the main laboratory with no additional purchases. Reduced commute time adding an addition three hours to the research workday. -Reduced laboratory experiment plate cost by developing methods to make plates in house rather than purchasing commercial products. Lowered plate cost from $500 per plate for commercial plates to $25 for in-house plates. Laboratory used five plates a day, saving $2,375 in daily plate cost. -Saved $150,000 in project salary cost by applying for and receiving training research grants. -Secured travel expenses and registration for research scientific meetings by applying for scholarships to cover cost.
